Sweet mother of pearl woman. You take some fine pics.

Thank you for saying that Gunny.

I brought my consumer-grade camera and not the pro gear. You have NO idea how far away I was from the many beautiful and handsome subjects at the party.

That the photos turned out at all, is a small miracle.

Those are great pics. I'm really bummed that I couldn't be there.

Ody, you were missed. Luke Thompson's video has a funny "Ody appearance" with a G.I. Joe action figure as a substitute. It's affectionate satire, nothing political about it. Thanks for doing your bit for the rest of us during your "day job" away from the keyboard.

Hear hear. Great pics, Mox.

Yes Moxie, terrific shots.

Have you ever considered taking up photography as a career? I see real potential here.

Thanks Gary, Matt and Ray!

Ray, good eye. It already IS my career. Those were just snapshots with a consumer camera.

I couldn't bring my pro gear without an assistant. Too much to lug around AND enjoy Cathy's party.

Posted by: Moxie at September 12, 2006 5:51 PM

Actually kidding. I knew you were a pro. I just have an odd sense of humor. Only a pro could have taken shots this rich and expressive.

Posted by: Ray Richmond at September 12, 2006 9:21 PM

Oh damn, my sense of humor is on vacation, obviously!

But to be honest, I wasn't completely satisfied with all of them. There ARE about 80 more to download, resize, and post. Many of you speaking, Ray!!Stay tuned.

I couldn't make it up from San Diego for Cathy's tribute day, but your photos go a long way in making me feel what it was like being there. Thank you so much from all of us who couldn't get there. If you have more, what a bonus.

And I visit here a lot, therefore while I'm typing, let me add that your stories and zingers crack me up all the time. That may be the first, and last, time I've ever used the word zingers in print or verbally.

Allan, if you'd like a free copy of the Seipp Tribute DVD, just send your actual, physical address to Carla at acinema@cinemafoundation.com

That goes for all the rest of you folks too!

You have a discerning eye and a great talent. These photographs capture Sunday's event perfectly.

Nice pictures, everybody is happy you can see it from their smiles. Go ahead…try it. I am sure that you could be a great photographer.

Can't wait to see the rest of the photos, Moxie! Especially the ones of ME!!!!!!!! And may I just add that you shoot awfully well for a delusional, punchdrunk Republican.

Posted by: Ray Richmond at September 15, 2006 2:08 AM

Whups! I see some cleavage and low-cuttage there!

HOOR!

Posted by: Bane at September 16, 2006 3:10 PM

By all accounts I hear it was a hoot. Thanks for posting some pictures for those of us who could not make it.
